Praja Rajyam Party president K.Chiranjeevi, who tendered his resignation as MLA in support of an integrated Andhra Pradesh, said that an unified State was possible only in an atmosphere of peace.

Talking to mediapersons after coming out of the main temple complex of Lord Venkateswara, Mr. Chiranjeevi said the decision to fight for a united State was taken in tune with the sentiments of a majority of people of the State. Faster development can be achieved only when the State was united. “It is against this backdrop that I have come here to seek the blessings of the presiding deity before kicking off the Samaikyandhra movement from Tirupati,” he said.
