Chiranjeevi on his first leg of ‘Praja Ankita Yatra’ has promised 24 hour free power to farmers, if his party comes to power.

He started his ‘Praja Ankita Yatra’ on the auspicious day of Vijayadasami from an auspicious venue Arasavelli Surya Bhagavan temple in Srikakulam district. Chiranjeevi attributes his Sun symbol in his party’s flag to Arasaville Surya Bhagavan.

There were huge crowds jamming the roads through out his tour. Lot of women folks were seen climbing on each and every building abutting the road where Chiranjeevi is passing.

In every meeting he is repeatedly saying that ‘the people’s wishes are Praja Rajyam’s agenda’.

Political observers, however, said that Chiranjeevi was still behaving more like a film star than a politician and that his speeches lacked substance and concrete proposals to alleviate the hardships of the poor.

Reacting sharply to allegations about his lack of experience in politics, the’ Mega Star ‘said one need not know politics to serve the people. “A person who can solve problems of people would be aware of politics,” he said. “I joined politics with a single-point agenda — to serve people.”

While addressing a series of meetings in Srikakulam, Chiranjeevi said that eradication of corruption would on top of his party’s agenda.

Though he has often said that he would shun ‘negative politics,’ Chiranjeevi is sharply criticising the Congress government for it’s “neglect” of the common man and is also lashing out at the Telugu Desam, during his tour.
